Thematic Topics

As the debate about culture, religion and sexuality today is not limited only to one country, one people or one race nor it is linked only to a single area of knowledge, the IV CONIEC opens space for discussion about these themes in all areas of knowledge. Hence, the discussion in IV CONIEC, following comparative perspective, is not limited to some suggested themes or given topics but expands to proposals coming from different areas of knowledge from literature to philosophy, biology to pure sciences and discussing the role/ concept of cultures/

religions and sexualities in modern times.  

The congress is open to any topic that deals with cultures, religions or sexualities from a comparative perspective. The discussion should show differences between the past and the present, focusing mainly on how this change has taken shape, how it is relevant to the understanding of these three major issues and what are the consequences of these changes etc. Thus one can suggest a topic for communication or offer a topic and invite other speakers (in coordinated sessions) to join the debate.
