Modality of presentation and dead lines

 

1.      PROPOSALS FOR ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION

  • ( Three to Five participants, 15 minutes each + 20 minutes debate)

Round Table Discussion can be composed of ONLY by well known people in field of comparative studies (Ph. D. or equivalent is a must for all participants).

 

  

2 COORDENATED THEMATIC SESSIONS

  • The Coordinated Thematic Sessions should be composed of minimum 10 and maximum 20 speakers (15 min. for each speaker and 20 min. for debate)

  • One may propose a Session OR participate in a Coordinated Session (please check the list)

(Please send your abstract before the dead line. See the norms for CS in item Modality of Presentation)

§  Send your complete proposal by  31/ 06/ 2007 Follow following guidline:

  • Title;

  • Number of the participants (not more than twenty);

  • Thematic Topic under which it is being proposed (Cultures, Religions, Sexualities);

  • Proposal (aim, justification and objectives);

  • Brief curriculum of each participants  (between 10 to 15 lines).

 

  • If the proposal is approved complete papers from all presenters should be sent by 5 October 2009.

  •  All Abstracts will be published in LIVRO DE RESUMOS, a form of booklet and COMPLETE PAPERS will be INCLUDED in CD publication with ISBN. Abstract or full paper sent AFTER the DEAD LINE will NOT be included in publication.

 

  1. Individual Proposals

Proposals for individual communications can be made in two modalities:

  • As an INDIVIDUAL COMMUNICATION

  • As coordinator of a COORDINATED THEMATIC SESSION or as a participant in a thematic session.

 

3.  COORDINATED THEMATIC SESSIONS: (a group of 10 or 20 speakers)

  

  • Each with a 15 minutes presentation.

        To coordinate a THEMATIC SESSION please follow the following guide lines:

  • The proposal should be made by someone who holds the title Dr. or has Ph. D. The proponent should be an affiliated member of ABRAEC or should become a member by sending membership form and paying the annual membership fee of  60, 00 Reais or $30,00.

  • Session with less than 10 presenters will be relocated to other sessions.

  • The theme, title and description, along with your full name (as you wish it to appear on the home page of ABRAEC) and E-mail address should be sent by 30 th June, 2009 by e-mail ivconiec@live.com

 (The coordinator will be responsible to receive and accept or reject the proposal. He/she will be responsible to inform the participants before 20th of July of the acceptance or rejection. He/ she should then send the accepted abstracts to the organizers by e-mail ivconiec@live.com

e.       The coordinator should carefully check following details:

                    The Resume/ abstract should be presented in approximately 250,

                    organized in  following manner:

 

  • Title of the Paper

  •  Name/ names of the presenters (no more than two)

  • Name of the Institution

  • Designation/ Title (Prof. , Dr.,  Ms. Etc)

                    

  • The paper should be printed on paper A4, margins  3,5 cm, Times New Roman, font 12, single space with the text in CD in MS Word (7.0 / 2000) in same format as the printed text. Number of pages should not exceed 10 pages. All the notes should be in form of footnotes. References should follow MLA (for papers in English) or ABNT. 

  • The paper should also be organized in following manner:

         The Title of the Paper

         Name/ names of the presenter

                        Thematic Topic in which the paper should be included.

                        The coordinator should send the complete papers by 5th October 2009 by        

                         e-mail ivconiec@live.com

If you are sending your paper to a THEMATIC SECCION please follow the following guide line:

 

a.       Send your abstracts to the coordinator by e-mail before 30 th July.

b.       Alter you receive an acceptance from the coordinator of the session sent your complete paper by e-mail till 5th October to the coordinator and to Organizers e-mail ivconiec@live.com

c.       Send your proof of payment (by scanning the document) along with your ABSTRACT to the organizers.

 

4. SESSIONES FOR INDIVIDUAL COMMUNICATIONS .

 

If you are sending an INDIVIDUAL COMMUNICATION following guideline should be rigorously observed:

  • The abstract should be presented in approximately 250 words. It should be organized in following manner:
  • Title of the Paper

  • Name/ names of the presenters (no more than two)

  • Name of the Institution

  • Designation/ Title (Prof. , Dr.,  Ms. Etc) It should be sent by 30th June.

  • The paper should follow the margins  3,5 cm, Times New Roman, font 12, single space, number of pages should not exceed 10 pages. All the notes should in form of footnotes. References should follow MLA/ ABNT style
